Last week was a whirlwind of exciting events and fruitful collaborations. As a moderator, I had the opportunity to facilitate discussions and drive initiatives aimed at creating positive change in various fields. Here’s a brief recap of what went down:

Monday kicked off with the presentation of an initiative close to my heart, the AMUA Accelerator, in partnership with UNFPA and Sahara Ventures. This accelerator aims to empower entrepreneurs in the realm of Sexual and Reproductive Health and related issues (SRH) affecting young people. Additionally, I had the privilege of leading discussions with UK all-party parliamentarians who were keen on Exploring Innovative SRHR Initiatives in Tanzania for Informed Investment in Reproductive Health, Population and Development by hearing from SRH Innovative Interventions such as Tai Tanzania and Afyalead.

Word of thanks from one of the UK parliamentarian

Tuesday and Wednesday saw me moderating a co-design workshop on climate adaptation innovation cluster under Climate KIC. This dynamic workshop brought together climate activists and organizations to co-design this innovative adaptation cluster. I moderated and co-facilitated an engaging co-design workshop using the “From Collective purpose to collaborative practise” method to create a well rounded climate adaptation cluster in Tanzania that will address adaptation issues on of the most pressing challenges of our time.

Overall, last week was a testament to the power of collaboration and dialogue in driving positive change. I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead these impactful initiatives and look forward to be invited for more.

But before i conclude here are-

3 Essential Tips for Hosting your guests with Excellence

1. Cultural Sensitivity: Take the time to research and understand the cultural norms and customs of your guests e.g topics to talk about, communication styles, etc. This will ensure a respectful and welcoming environment for all attendees.

2. Clear Communication: Provide detailed information about the event logistics, agenda, and any cultural protocols that guests and other participants should be aware of. This could be a scheduled one or two zoom calls for orientation prior travel. Clear communication helps avoid misunderstandings and ensures a smooth experience for everyone.

3. Hospitality: Show your guests genuine hospitality by offering warm greetings, routine check-ins, providing refreshments, and making them feel valued throughout the event. Additionally after work hours Invite them to appropriate local events happening around your city to give them a taste of the city’s culture and community.

I hope these 3 tips will enhance the experience of your guests under your care, if you have any additional please let me know would love to discuss.
